About Resin8

In 2002 Resin8 from Bude, Cornwall was formed in order to pursue a dream of building the world's best high performance surfboards. 5 years of R and D followed and a construction method developed that produced a durable surfboard with exciting flex characteristics.

It was highly revered by some of the world's best surfers and shapers as it seemed finally there was a viable performing alternative to traditional construction of surfboards that could take more punishment. This made a Resin8 an ideal board for kite surfers too who needed a strong board that felt good. Unfortunately, the process was extremely time consuming, expensive and difficult to make and in 2010 we had to cancel the project as it wasn't economically viable.

Since then we worked on the Resin8 scoop, an exciting product designed by Andy Seidensticker who has worked with the company for many years and played a major part in making the original Resin8 product so good. Andy now continues to develop and produce this design at his home in Costa Rica, we hope to have more on this soon.

2012 sees Resin8 launch a range of high performance boards manufactured with quality materials, traditional methods using up to date shaping software and machined shapes designed by Carl Welton, friend and shaper for Reubyn Ash, the UK's most exciting surfer.
